(NEW YORK) — With COVID-19 restrictions about to change another holiday tradition, meet-and-greets with Santa, Airbnb is offering to help

According to the Fraternal Order of Real-Bearded Santas — yes, that’s a thing — nearly a third of its membership say they won’t be participating in in-person visits at stores and the like.

For kids, that means no sitting on Santa’s lap to tell him what they want for Christmas. For many Santa costumers, that means they’ll be missing out on income they’ve always banked on during the holidays.

Airbnb has stepped up to fill the gap for both. Via its Online Experiences infrastructure, the company is creating virtual meet-and-greets with Santas from around the world, from Finland to Los Angeles, including Santas that know sign language for the hearing impaired. Some of the experiences also include story times with the big guy himself.

The company is inviting interested Santas to become Online Experience hosts, and will provide training as to how to get them to do their Ho Ho Ho-ing virtually. Interested Kris Kringles can go to airbnb.com/happyholidays for more information.
