Volunteer with Violeta from The Morning Mix on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6pm until 9PM at Lincoln Park Community Services at 1521 North Sedgwick in the city.
Volunteers will plan, prepare, serve a meal (and clean the prep area) for the 48 Guests in the LPCS Interim Housing Program. Volunteers will prepare the
Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) brings communities together to empower individuals facing homelessness and poverty to secure stable housing and make sustainable life changes. They serve individuals 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless by addressing immediate needs such as food, showers, clothing, identification, etc. in addition to long term support such as interim housing, employment, case management services and access to resources.
Volunteers must be 18+. Space is limited. Please wear clothing that you feel comfortable cooking in, and closed-toe shoes. Be prepared to wear a mask while on-site, and a hair net while in the kitchen.
