Green Tie Ball XXX – Tuxedos & Tennis Shoes – Presented by Huntington Bank

Guests will enjoy premium open bars and gourmet bites from Harry Caray’s Catering & Events. Entertainment includes sets by top Chicago DJs, including DJ Rock City, and a set from the popular cover band, Dr. Bombay, which features Chicago Gateway Green Vice Chairman and Co-Chair Lee Golub as the drummer. The evening will also include a Live and Silent auction with one-of-a-kind items, games, and special guests.

As a nod to the venue, this year’s theme, Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes, encourages guests to pair their finest black tie attire with their coolest sneakers. For those wishing to pump up their look, The Sole Revival will be on-hand to customize your kicks. You can also purchase a new pair of Converse to customize onsite.

Throughout the evening, guests can compete in a variety of bracketed challenges, including darts, shuffleboard, ping pong and foosball to win great prizes. Those not wishing to compete can still take in the unique sports memorabilia, collection of game-used treasures and interactive experiences.VIP Guests will have access to an exclusive lounge complete with private premium bars, passed hors d’oeuvres, private restrooms, and unique gaming experiences.

Event Background

Green Tie Ball, presented by Huntington Bank is Chicago Gateway Green’s signature fundraising event. The famous gala, returning each year with a new and engaging theme, raises funds for Chicago Gateway Green’s Expressway Partnership Program, which creates and maintains beautiful, sustainable landscapes along Chicago’s major expressways thereby reducing air and noise pollution and adorning the gateways into the city’s communities.It was first held in 1992 as a 500-person street party and is now one of the best-known charity events in Chicago. The gala attracts Chicago’s most prominent public, political, and media figures, environmental supporters as well as young professionals and local celebrities.

About Chicago Gateway GreenCelebrating its 36th Anniversary in 2022, we are dedicated to greening and beautifying Chicago’s expressways, gateways, and neighborhoods, Chicago Gateway Green was founded in 1986 to benefit the environment and improve the quality of life for millions of Chicagoland residents and annual visitors.
