Good Deeds Day Volunteer Day
April 11 - April 16
The Jewish United Fund of Chicago (JUF) presents a weeklong volunteer event supporting local non-profits in neighborhoods across the city and suburbs.
Good Deeds Day, now an entire week dedicated to giving back, will offer more than 30 projects, both in person and remote, benefiting 20 local organizations. Opportunities include: packing and delivering meals with Top Box Foods to serve food insecure households; donating computers, cell phones and tablets through PCs for People, an organization that refurbishes and redistributes devices to bridge the digital divide; and programs through CJE SeniorLife to bring essential connection to elder adults in the community. The extensive list of projects range in scope and offer something for all ages and abilities.
“Typically, JUF’s TOV Volunteer Network hosts Good Deeds Day, an exclusive day of service that connects volunteers to dozens of local organizations who depend on the generosity of the community to do the work they do,” said Marissa Comin, Director JUF TOV Volunteer Network. “This year, we reimagined what we could do and how we could help. The result is an entire week dedicated to volunteering and giving back.”
JUF’s TOV Volunteer Network connects volunteers to local non-profits and ways to help all year long. Good Deeds Day is a chance to connect, whether in person or remote, to work together for good.
