Becoming a parent is a life changing moment for anyone, but particularly when you’re still a kid yourself. Teens who become pregnant face more than the struggle of early parenthood, they’re threatened with poverty, homelessness, and a derailment of educational and professional success. Advocates for Adolescent Mothers founder Lillian Harris was a teen mother herself, and she joins us this morning to talk more about the organization and her efforts to help young moms.
